Clearly, web series are taking over the function that TV shows once performed.

Notably, Jaejae, the host of MMTG, even went to Cannes and interviewed IU, Song Kang-ho, Gang Dong Won and Lee Joo Young, the cast of the movie Broker. SAKURA and KIM CHAEWON, two members of LE SSERAFIM, first promoted the group’s debut on YouTube as well, through channels ODG and Pixid. By recording together but airing different videos on their respective channels, the two series found a lot of attentive viewers. When SEVENTEEN released their album Face the Sun, they held a collaboration between their own series, GOING SEVENTEEN, and another popular web series, MMTG, calling the project GOING SVT X MMTG. And that’s the reason idols are keener to appear on web variety shows than similar shows on TV.

With the release of the videos, phrases related to the show, like “our stars,” “strength of body and mind” and “producer Na,” were trending all over Twitter.

Part one of the episode was the top trending video on YouTube the day following its release, while parts two and three trended in second and seventh place, respectively. I like salads in the morning, light dishes for lunch, and a hearty meal of Korean food in the evening.Just four days after the first part of episode one of The Game Caterers 2 x HYBE was released on July 15, the video, which stars the artists under HYBE LABELS, had already been viewed 7,039,918 times as of July 18. I can't have it too often because it is a heavy dish, but it's always a meal of happiness.ĭK: Each meal is different, so I can't answer. Seungkwan: I like dinner or late-night meals, especially having fried chicken for one of those meals. TV: What's your favorite meal of the day? Hoshi: I've been into Pyeongyang Naengmyeon lately, so I'll go for that! I rushed through all the plans I had today for another bowl of noodles It would have to be a buffet! If I absolutely have to choose one dish… I will have to say barbecued pork belly. I also had it for lunch today.ĭK: This has to be one of the most difficult questions I've ever been asked. TV: The second song on the album is "Lunch." If you could only eat one thing for lunch for the rest of your life, what would it be? Hoshi: Probably a day of “Fighting”? We all come across days where we feel drained, but if there's something, anything that I can find that could fill me up with the energy of “Fighting,” I think to myself that there isn't anything in the world I can't accomplish. TV: On the flip side, what does an ideal day look like for you? What would the perfect day entail? On days after a performance or a shoot as well, I try my best never to skip exercise. On days when we don't have plans, I focus on working out, improving myself. On days when we have shoots or performances, I head straight into it. Hoshi: The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is eat! Both breakfast and supplements. And then I come back home, think about our CARATs, and fall asleep. I wander around different places while listening to music with a warm cup of coffee. I'm also trying out boxing lately, and I have been enjoying walks on my own as well. On a day without a shoot or specific plans, I try to be consistent with going to vocal lessons.

I wake up, make sure I take my supplements, get something tasty for lunch, and get a lot of exercise in the evening.ĭK: A typical day for DK looks like this: I wake up at around 10 in the morning, take my vitamins and supplements, and then get breakfast. Seungkwan: Depending on what I have planned for the day, I wake up at a different time each day, but I do have a routine, certain rituals that I stick to. Jun, in particular, had a coffee truck arranged for us, with a banner that read: “Is this your first comeback, BSS? Ask SEVENTEEN sunbaenim for help if there's anything you're unsure of.” It kept everyone on set laughing throughout the whole day. It's BSS' first official music video, so we were excited and eager to contribute to the creatives, and I think the level of spark and liveliness we wanted to achieve clearly shows in the output.ĭK: We are not as experienced in shoots where a lot of actors are involved, so that was a fun part of the shoot! A lot of the members came to the set to support us and the members that couldn't make it also made sure they were here for us in their own ways. Seungkwan: The music video shows the members of BSS giving out our love and energy to people bustling through the many different aspects of everyday life. TV: Can you tell us a little bit about the filming of the music video for the title track? What was the concept? How was the experience? Did any of the other members come to support the shooting?
